Children's Express Child Care, Inc.
More structured than our preschool program. Children attend Pre-K the year before enrolling in Kindergarten. Routines, activities, games and projects are geared to help these children gain skills and confidence needed for the transition to Kindergarten.
Social Skills Curriuculum
Pro-Social Second Step Curriculum and problem solving supports in the classroom coach children on taking turns, using their words, listening, helping others, and understanding their own feelings.
Though our Pre-K Program is structured, there are still many opportnities every day for free choice play both indoors and outdoors. Classrooms are arranged to offer individual, small group, or large group play options.
Creative Play is the strong foundation on which future learning is built on.
We focus on the following skills: Letters, numbers, reading and writing their name and simple site words, following directions, using words to have needs met, and increased independence with self help skills throughout the year. We also use Handwriting without Tears and Reading Streets as do the Attleboro Public Schools.
